ABOUT THE LWL INTERNSHIP PROGRAM
​
The LWL Foundation Internship Program is designed to provide high school and college-aged women with unparalleled access to professional development, mentorship, and hands-on experience in leadership, media, business, and nonprofit work. As the philanthropic arm of Loud Women Lead Media Co., this program is committed to nurturing the next generation of bold, visionary leaders by equipping interns with tangible skills, industry knowledge, and meaningful networking opportunities.
We are seeking curious, motivated, hardworking, high-energy, and forward-thinking individuals who are eager to make an impact and gain real-world experience in an empowering and inclusive environment.

INTERNSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES

Interns will contribute in various capacities to support the mission and impact of Loud Women Lead Media Co. & the LWL Foundation. Responsibilities include:

Communicating in a professional and efficient manner across all platforms.

Representing the LWL Foundation with integrity, courtesy, and professionalism.

Managing and prioritizing projects to ensure forward momentum and success.
-
Utilizing critical thinking and problem-solving skills in all assigned tasks.
-
Conducting research, identifying innovative solutions, and presenting actionable insights.
-
Collaborating with team members on project management and execution.
-
Assisting in content creation, social media engagement, event planning, and brand storytelling (dependent on internship role).
HOW WE MEASURE IMPACT
Internship success is defined by personal and professional growth, as well as contributions to the organization’s mission. Interns are expected to:

Build at least one strong mentorship connection that aligns with their future goals.

Actively participate in at least one leadership training program within Loud Women Lead.

Drive measurable impact by contributing to key organizational objectives (e.g., increasing social media engagement, expanding email lists, or supporting fundraising efforts).

Set and achieve one personal growth goal by the end of the program.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO APPLY?
-
Must be currently enrolled in high school, post-secondary, or college programs.

Must be a rising junior, senior, or current senior in high school or post-secondary education.

Must be at least 16 years old (some positions require a minimum age of 18).

Must be eligible to work in the United States.
-
High school students must be enrolled in their school’s co-op program.
-
Must be able to commit to the full duration of the program (maximum 2 absences allowed).
INTERNSHIP DURATION & HOURS

Summer and year-round internship opportunities available.
-
During the academic year (September-May): 10-20 hours per week.
-
Internships are 100% virtual but require weekly check-ins and accountability.
-
Occasional in-person events are optional and require additional waivers for participation.

INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES & ROLES
1. SOCIAL MEDIA INTERNSHIP
​
Role Overview: Manage the Loud Women Lead social media presence by creating engaging content, analyzing audience metrics, and implementing digital growth strategies.
​
2. JOURNALISM/BOOKING PRODUCER INTERNSHIP
​
Role Overview: Research and produce compelling content for blogs, articles, interviews, and podcasts. Assist in booking guests and coordinating media segments.
​
3. COMMUNICATIONS INTERNSHIP
Role Overview: Support internal and external communication strategies through press releases, newsletters, website content, and stakeholder engagement.
​
4. PROGRAMMING INTERNSHIP
Role Overview: Assist in the development, coordination, and execution of educational and leadership programs, including workshops and mentorship initiatives.
​
5. MARKETING INTERNSHIP
​
Role Overview: Conduct research, develop strategic campaigns, and contribute to brand positioning and storytelling for Loud Women Lead.
​
6. FUNDRAISING & GRANT WRITING INTERNSHIP
Role Overview: Support fundraising initiatives by researching grant opportunities, drafting proposals, and assisting in donor engagement.
